The Blacktip Shark
The Blacktip shark belongs to the Carcharhinidae family. If the maximum height is between 2.50 and 2.80 m, the average is more usually around 1.50 m, for a weight of 120 kg. The life expectancy of the blacktip shark is estimated at 12 years. Mating takes place from spring to early summer. It can be fished all year round. The blacktip shark has a relatively slender body with a long, conical snout. The Brook Trout belongs to the Salmonidae family. The average size of the brook trout is 50 cm and the weight only exceptionally exceeds 7 kg. It has a longevity of 5 years. It reproduces in autumn. It is fished from April to September. Its body is fusiform, laterally compressed, and slender. Its general shape is reminiscent of trout, although a little more massive. Other distinguishing features include a large head and eyes and an elongated anal fin. The Devils hole pupfish has 17 pectoral rays, 12 dorsal rays and 28 caudal rays. The male is taller than the female, is iridescent blue and has vertical bars on its tail. The female is smaller and thinner than the male, yellow-brown in color, has a light spot on the dorsal fin and no bars on the tail.
