The Great Barracuda
The Great Barracuda belongs to the Sphyraenidae family. Adult specimens are generally between 60 and 100 cm long and weigh between 2.5 and 9.0 kg. It has a life span of 14 years. They are thought to spawn in the spring. It can be fished all year round. The large barracuda has a slim, streamlined body that is round in the middle. The top of the head between the eyes is almost flat and the mouth is large. It contains many large pointed teeth and a protruding lower jaw. The ends of the pectoral fins extend to the origin of the pelvic fins. The spiny and soft dorsal fins are largely separated and the double emarginated caudal fin has pale tips on each lobe. The body color of the great barracuda is brownish grey or bluish on the back and top, with a dominant greenish-green color ranging from grey to silver on the sides and a white belly. The upper surface can have between 18 and 23 dark bars, most often observed when the fish is resting or on a mixed substrate. The black spots on the lower sides of the great barracuda distinguish it from other barracuda species. The second dorsal fin, anal fin and caudal fin are purple to black with whitish tips.

The Cobia fish belongs to the Rachycentridae family. it can be 1.8 m long and weigh 70 kg or more. it can live 12 years. The spawning period depends on the location. It can be fished all year round. The body is elongated and torpedo-shaped with a long flattened head. The eyes are small and the snout is wide. The lower jaw protrudes beyond the upper jaw. The skin is smooth with very small integrated scales. Easily distinguished by the first dorsal fin, composed of 7 to 9 strong and isolated spines, not connected by a membrane. The second dorsal fin is long with the front part elevated. The caudal fin is rounded to truncated in young fish and lunar in adults, with the upper lobe extending below the lower lobe. The origin of the anal fin is below the second dorsal vertex and the pectoral fin is pointed. Cobia doesn’t have an air bladder. The body is dark brown to silvery, paler on the sides and greyish white to silvery underneath, with two narrow dark bands extending from the snout to the base of the caudal fin. These dark bands are bordered at the top and bottom by lighter bands. Young cobia has dark side bands, which tend to become obscured in adult fish. Most fins are dark brown, with grey markings on the anal and pelvic fins.

The Bonefish belongs to the Albulidae family. The maximum size of the bonefish is 104 cm and the maximum weight is 10 kg. They can live up to 10 years. It breeds from November to May. It can be fished all year round. Many fossil remains, several million years old and dating from the dinosaur era, show that the tarpon has the particularity of having changed very little during its long existence. It can be recognized by its streamlined body covered with large silver scales and its mouth with a prominent lower jaw with many small pointed teeth. These characteristics seem to have inspired the different appellations attributed to it according to its geographical distribution: "Silver King" in America or the "Great Scale" in the West Indies.

The Cubera snapper belongs to the Lutjanidae family. Its average weight is about 18 kg and reaching a length of 90 cm, the cubera snapper can reach 58 kg and 6 m in length. This snapper is slightly different from some of the other members of the Lutjanidae family, because it has an elongated and slender body that is not very deep. It looks like the other lutjanidae by its long pectoral fin and continuous dorsal fin. The caudal fin is quite truncated. The mouth has thick lips and large teeth. These fish are generally grey or dark brown with pale to dark grey sides. There may also be a slight reddish tinge on the body. There is a bluish shade on the anal and ventral fins. The caudal fin is light grey in color while the pectoral fins are translucent or grey. Juveniles have a slightly striped pattern on each side that fades with adulthood.

The color appears much lighter around the neck and along the posterior edge of the lid. All fins are dark brown, except for the white spiny part of the dorsal fin. The young are characterized by a yellow caudal fin; dark stool on the caudal peduncle; and some whitish spots on the body.
