The life expectancy of the blacktip shark is estimated at 12 years. Mating takes place from spring to early summer. It can be fished all year round. The blacktip shark has a relatively slender body with a long, conical snout. Its back and sides are ash grey; a light horizontal lateral stripe marks this area of the white belly quite slightly and a broad white line is often visible, belonging to the belly, coming from the caudal peduncle and stopping under the dorsal fin. The long nose is flattened dorso-ventrally and appears slightly rounded when viewed from below. The eyes are forward, relatively small. The mouth is wide. The nostrils are thin and you can't see the spiracles. The upper and lower teeth are quite similar, with a broad base and an almost straight point with finely crenellated edges. The pectoral fins are sickle-shaped. The first pointed dorsal fin with a pyramidal profile is inserted just behind the pectoral fins. The second dorsal fin is much smaller, facing the anal fin, of the same size. Just in front of the anal fin is a pair of small pelvic fins. Finally, the caudal fin is heterocercal with a fairly large upper lobe. All fins, except the anal, are bordered with a dark color on the trailing edge or apex, varying in intensity from one individual to another. The lower edge of the pectoral

The Sheepshead belongs to the Sparidae family. Although it reaches a maximum size of about 76 cm and 22 lbs (9.6 kg), the adult sheepshead is most often about 5 to 3.6 kg and 35 cm long. The maximum known life span of the sheepshead is at least 20 years. They spawn in early spring. They can be fished all year round with the best season from December to April. The sheepshead has a deep oval body with a blunt snout and a small, almost horizontal mouth. The posterior nostril is split in appearance. The dorsal and anal fins include short, strong spines. The second spine of the anal fin is larger. The pectoral fins are long and extend beyond the anal opening when pressed (close to the body). The caudal fin is slightly forked. The adult sheepshead is silvery to greenish-yellow and has an olive back. There are five or six dark vertical crossbars on each side, which are the most distinct in young individuals. The black grouper has a lifespan of about 40 years. Fish spawn between May and August. The black grouper fishing season is open from June to December. The black grouper is a large, marine fish with a prominent lower jaw. It has an oblong body shape and rounded edges on the dorsal and anal fins. The caudal fin is square and the dorsal fin has 11 spines and 15-17 rays. The preopercule is rounded without a notch, which distinguishes it from the gag grouper (Mycteroperca microlepis). The black grouper has an olive or grey body color, dark rectangular spots and small hexagonal bronze spots on the head and underside. The edges of the dorsal, anal and caudal fin are black or bluish; there is sometimes an orange border along the pectoral fins. The front teeth of the black grouper are well developed canines. The Swordfish belongs to the Xiphiidae family. Swordfish reach a maximum size of 455 cm in total length and a maximum weight of 650 kg, although individuals caught generally measure 120 to 190 cm in length for 140 kg. Swordfish, are the only member of the Xiphiidae family and can be distinguished from other billfishes (family Billfish) by the shape of its extended "beak", which is in the form of a flattened oval cross-section. The bill is long compared to other sword fishes and adults lack teeth in the jaws. While the young have scales, they are lost when the fish reaches a length of about 1 m. Adults lack scales and teeth. The body is generally cylindrical. Two dorsal fins are present, although the second is quite small, separate from the first and very far back on the body. The first dorsal fin is high and rigid. Similarly, there are two anal fins, although the second is much smaller than the first. Pelvic fins are absent. The caudal fin is lunar, while the caudal peduncle has a pronounced keel on each side. The lateral line is also present in specimens up to 1 m long, but it is also missing in adulthood. Before adulthood, the morphology of swordfish changes considerably, as described below. The colour is blackish brown above, then moving to a lighter shade. The fins are brown or dark brown.
